The art of resting

A body allowed to simply be. Sun-warmed skin, cool turquoise and white flowers — a small collection of quiet moments in the bedroom.

This series is based on Natalie’s personal photographs, transformed into digital paintings with the rich texture of broad oil brushstrokes.

How the auction works ↓

How the auction works

Six paintings, six separate lots

Each lot is a personalised digital edition of the chosen image at its original resolution (about 1100 × 1450 px), a dedication from Natalie and a PDF edition passport. Physical printing, framing and shipping are discussed separately. The image remains in the public gallery; the dedication is made for the winner.

Opening bid: $15 USD. Minimum increment: $5. Offers close on 5 November 2026 at 20:00 Bangkok time (UTC+7). The highest active bid recorded by the server before closing leads the lot. Bids may be withdrawn before the round closes.

Free to enter, adults only. A price offer is a purchase inquiry; no automatic charges or mandatory payment are taken here. After closing, Natalie manually contacts the leading bidder to agree on the dedication, delivery time and payment. Without confirmation there is no completed sale; another bidder may receive a separate offer. Exclusive image rights are not transferred.

Only amounts and active bid counts are public. Your name and email are visible to the owner for order discussions; email is not automatically verified yet. Withdrawing an offer removes its contact details. Keep your private management link to view or withdraw your offers on another device.

A bedroom that supports rest

Darkness

Blackout curtains can reduce light from outside; an eye mask is another option. The aim is a dark room, with a dim night light if you need one. [3]

Air and temperature

Choose a comfortably cool room. Air it as conditions allow and use ventilation or cooling suitable for your climate. Personal comfort matters more than a universal temperature. [2][3]

Quiet and a comfortable bed

Reduce disturbing noise and choose a pillow, mattress and bedding that feel comfortable. There is no single mattress or sleeping position that suits everyone. [3]

Sleep has a daytime rhythm too

Enough time

Adults aged 18–60 generally need at least seven hours of sleep a night. Notice how restored and alert you feel as well as the number of hours. [1]

A steady wake-up time

Aim for similar sleep and wake times throughout the week. Daylight and regular daytime movement also support healthy sleep habits. [6]

Caffeine and evening meals

Try moving caffeine earlier; its effects can last up to eight hours. Keep large meals away from bedtime. Alcohol may make sleep lighter and more interrupted. [2][4]

A small evening ritual

  1. Close the day

Set aside work and bright light. Spend the last hour on quieter activities; write down tomorrow’s tasks if that helps you settle. [6]

  2. Choose one calming action

A warm wash, a few pages of a book or quiet music can become a familiar transition towards sleep. [4]

  3. Prepare the room

Draw the curtains, adjust the air and put distracting devices aside. Go to bed when you feel sleepy. [1][4]

A little less pressure

What if I am lying awake?

If sleep is not coming, get up for a quiet activity in dim light, then return when sleepy. Persistent insomnia deserves assessment; CBT-I is usually the first treatment offered for long-term insomnia. [4]

When should I ask for help?

Regular sleep difficulties, strong daytime sleepiness, loud snoring or observed breathing pauses are reasons to speak with a clinician. A sleep diary can help describe the pattern. [1][5]

Keep wandering
