BEFORE YOU BEGIN

Create a space you want to return to

Prepare a journal, pen, drinking water, a candle in a stable holder, a fresh flower or familiar gentle scent, a small stone and comfortable clothing. Choose a quiet time and turn off notifications.

PERSONAL INTENTION

What question are you bringing?

An intention offers direction rather than a demand for results. Choose a theme that feels relevant or write your own.

PROGRAMME

One day — one layer of experience

Begin with a short opening, follow the main practice and finish by writing. Your checkmarks are saved immediately. After signing in by email, your progress will be available on all your devices.

01
OPENING THE CIRCLE

Starting point and intention

30 minutes

Today's task is to see your starting point with honesty and gentleness. A short body scan helps shift attention from the flow of thoughts to direct experience.

What in me needs attention right now?

Mindful attention may support stress management, although effects vary between people. Practice remains a complement to professional support. NCCIH

Practice

  1. Get comfortable and take five natural breaths.
  2. Move your attention from your feet to your face, naming sensations in simple words.
  3. Rate your energy, clarity and tension on a scale from 1 to 10.
  4. Write your intention and one noticeable sign of the change you hope for.
02
POWER EARTH

Support, body and boundaries

35 minutes

Earth is a language of steadiness here: body weight, feet touching the ground, food, order and a clear “yes” or “enough”.

What already supports me, even if it is easy to overlook?

Regular movement supports physical and mental wellbeing. A gentle walk is enough today: connecting with your body matters more than athletic performance. WHO

Practice

  1. Stand steadily and notice the pressure of your feet on the floor for 2 minutes.
  2. Walk at a gentle pace for 15–20 minutes, occasionally bringing attention to your steps.
  3. Eat one meal slowly, without a screen, noticing taste and fullness.
  4. Write down three sources of support and one boundary you want to maintain.
03
POWER WATER

Flow and letting go

30 minutes

Water is a reminder of flexibility. Today, washing becomes a pause in which you can notice feelings and release extra tension symbolically, while staying connected with reality.

What can I stop holding on to today?

Practice

  1. Slowly drink a glass of water, noticing its temperature and the movement of swallowing.
  2. Make gentle circular movements with your shoulders, pelvis and wrists for 7 minutes.
  3. Take a shower or wash your hands with the intention of closing one old inner dialogue.
  4. Write: “I am letting go of…” and “I am keeping with me…”.
04
POWER FIRE

The energy of desire

35 minutes

Fire is the ability to direct energy. Rather than making a sudden push, choose one living desire and a small action you can take today.

What action would help me feel that I am shaping my own life?

Practice

  1. Put on music and move at a comfortable intensity for 5–7 minutes.
  2. Place a candle safely and watch the flame with a soft gaze for 2 minutes.
  3. Name your desire in one specific sentence, in the first person.
  4. Take one step that takes up to 15 minutes.
05
POWER AIR

Breath and space

25 minutes

Air brings back a pause. This practice uses slow, comfortable breathing, without breath holds or competing with yourself.

What can I hear when I stop rushing the answer?

Research links slow breathing with lower self-reported stress; the benefits of a specific inhale-to-exhale ratio have not yet been established. PubMed

Practice

  1. Observe your breathing for two minutes without changing anything.
  2. Breathe gently for five minutes: inhale for about 4 seconds and exhale for about 5–6.
  3. Return to your usual rhythm and sit in silence for a minute.
  4. Walk for 10 minutes, noticing the sounds and space around you.
06
POWER ETHER

Silence, sound and connection

30 minutes

Ether is a metaphor in this programme for the space where sound, scent, memory and meaning meet. Scent remains an object of attention rather than a treatment.

What connects the different parts of my life into a whole?

Essential oils may cause irritation or allergies. Choose a familiar scent, follow the manufacturer's instructions, keep the space ventilated and keep oils away from children and animals. NCCIH

Practice

  1. Listen to the most distant sounds, then the closest sounds, for three minutes.
  2. Explore a fresh flower or familiar scent, avoiding contact with mucous membranes.
  3. Spend 10 minutes without speech, music or screens.
  4. Draw a circle of the five elements and write your main discoveries inside it.
07
CLOSING THE CIRCLE

Integration

45 minutes

Integration turns a meaningful experience into small everyday choices. Compare how you feel with the first day and choose one ritual that can realistically fit into your week.

What do I want to continue when the retreat ends?

Sleep, regular movement, food and social support provide a foundation for wellbeing. Most adults need at least 7 hours of sleep. CDC

Practice

  1. Repeat the energy, clarity and tension ratings from the first day.
  2. Write down three changes, including the smallest ones.
  3. Choose one ritual for the next 14 days and a specific time for it.
  4. Write a short letter to yourself for next month.
