Sexuality.
Being in your body.
How can you feel more sexual? You could begin with a different question: how can you give yourself more freedom? Three small habits, posture, pauses and dancing, as ways to explore your own sensuality.
YOURSELF
Give your shoulders room
You do not have to stand as if apologizing for your presence. You do not have to perform perfect posture either. Try to find a position where you can breathe comfortably and be yourself.
Feel the support of your feet or seat. Gently lower your shoulders and let them open slightly. Keep your neck free, without tipping your head back or pushing your chest out. Take an ordinary, comfortable breath in and out.
Try it now: Stay in this position for 30 seconds. Ask yourself: “Am I more comfortable? Where could I release unnecessary effort?”
Your right to take up space does not depend on your body shape or posture. Choose a comfortable position; if it hurts, do not force yourself to hold it.
Allow yourself a pause
You do not have to be interesting every second, guess the right answer or fill the silence. In a conversation, you can listen, think and speak at your own pace.
Did not hear? Ask: “Please say that again.” Need a second? Say: “Let me think.” Do not want to answer? You can set a boundary: “I do not want to discuss this right now.”
Try it today: In one conversation, let the other person finish and take a brief, natural pause before answering. Notice how this pace feels. Do not turn the pause into a seduction technique; this is room for you.
If you feel nervous, you do not need to criticize yourself. You can be sensitive, awkward or quiet and still be yourself.
Dance to one song
No audience, camera or need to look beautiful. Put on music and try moving however you feel like moving: swaying, shifting your weight, moving your hands, shoulders or fingers. You can stay seated.
Start with a small movement. Notice the rhythm, your breath and your sensations. There is no “correct” dance: you can slow down, stop or change the music.
Try it today: One song and a few minutes of attention to yourself. Afterward, ask: “What do I feel? Which movement would I like to keep doing?”
Here, “energy” describes your sense of aliveness; it is not a promise to release every tension. Pleasure does not need to be forced.
Three steps toward yourself
Check what you will try. This is not a measure of your sexuality, just a reminder to pay attention to yourself.
Sexuality is not the art of pleasing others. It is the freedom to feel and express yourself in your own body.
It looks different for everyone. These habits do not guarantee anyone else’s attention or create an obligation to be sexual for anyone.
